I have always been inspired by the artist Louise Nevelson, whose most iconic works were assemblages made from found materials, mainly wood objects and furniture, then painted a flat black. Some of my earlier works were an homage to Nevelson replacing found with fabricated objects. In this series, I referenced the industrial world, and in this case specifically the influence of the modern transportation industry.
